Promotes and loosely coordinates the annual European Day of Jewish Culture, held in many countries across Europe on the first Sunday in September. Also promotes the European Routes of Jewish Heritage. So far, routes include Architectural Modernism in Synagogues and Wooden Synagogues in central and eastern Europe — as well aw routes in several countries.

The Council of Europe entrusted the Institute to follow up already elected routes, to co-ordinate and provide technical aid to networks, in particular in their development in Central and Eastern Europe, to initiate new proposals as well as to disseminate information and set up a database that will constitute the memory of the program of the cultural routes.
