Poland — New book on Slubice-Frankfurt (Oder) Jewish Cemetery

Makom tov — der gute Ort/Makom tow– dobre miejsce, by Eckard Reiß and Magdalena Abraham-Diefenbach (Berlin: Vergangenheitsverlag, 2012). I

The book is about an important but largely destroyed Jewish cemetery on the German-Polish border at  Frankfurt (Oder) Germany/Slubice Poland, which was founded in around 1300 and thus one of the oldest in central Europe.

The Virtual Shtetl web site reports that Eckard Reiß, who is a member of the Historical Society in Frankfurt am Oder,  has been documenting the history of the Słubice graveyard since 1965.
