Exhibition on Czech Aid to Israel
Ha'Aretz reports (28 May 2006) on the opening of a new exhibition at the Military Museum in Prague, under the auspices of the Czech Ministry of Defence, documenting the military assistance provided to Israel by Czechoslovakia in 1948 during the toughest stages of the Arab-Israeli War which led to Israel's independence. The new exhibition uses old photos, copies of documents, and worn models of weapons and uniforms to tell the story, which was suppressed under the former Communist regime.
