A Holocaust memorial was unveiled this week at the Jewish cemetery on Sochaya Street in Minsk, Belarus to commemorate Jews who were deported from Königsberg and East Prussia to the Minsk ghetto in June 1942 and were then deported to their deaths at the Trostenets death camp, the largest extermination camp in the occupied parts of the Soviet Union. .
According to a local TV report, “relatives of the victims, former prisoners of ghettos and concentration camps, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps in Germany and Israel” attended the June 24 ceremony.
The memorial is in the shape of a large stone that bears commemorative plaques.

Just reading an article ,takes me to heart ,crudely set to earth ,again and again how persistent anti semitism is and probably will be.It is all about a new conductor ,and……his Jewishness .Despicable ,to be honest I haven’t words ,let alone my soul,my Jewish soul.
This will be a memorable day in European history.Too many so called incidents….. !
Fortunately the writer of the article E. Buning ,a Lady always determined ,translucent in her opinions: she stand by the conductor Kirill Petrenko.[Newsletter,Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung,Rhein- Main,26.06.2015],
And have a gut sjabbes!
